Women in films have certainly come a abundant way. Traditionally, they were exhibited as sex objects for mens sexy consumption. However, in recent years, strong distaff characters in films are becoming more prominent. Sexual Objectification of women in films in the past
In the past, media used to portray women flatly as sex objects in mens perspective rather than people (Smelik, 2009, pg 180; Klein, 1993, pg 61).
