A global citizen is someone who has an awareness of the world as a global community and recognizes the rights and responsibilities of the citizens within it. I believe that the Notre Dame community exemplifies what it means to be a global citizen. They have proved this through donating bullion to the Africa Fundraiser. They had an informed understanding about what was going on in Africa, and they recognized that they should help change the circumstances that people sprightliness in Africa had to face.

I see the fundraiser was an overall success. A large success was the bake sale. I believe that everything was priced accordingly. Another conniption of the fundraiser that I believe to be a success was the give prizes. The gifts that we had giftd targeted the school population, thus creating a high demand for raffle tickets, which in return lead to to a greater extent money.



Although the raffle was a success, it was hard to actually find companies to donate products. When I approached retailers and asked them to donate something they said they had to go through their head office, which needs time. It would have been easier, if we were given more time to get these items. I rally if more time was given, then we maybe would have had more items to raffle, thus creating more sales. An aspect of the fundraiser that I think take improvement was the homeroom donations. I think that it should not have been prevalent and it should have every other day.
