Woodstock
Through the look of America
Towards the end of the summer of 1969 the biggest rock festival ever dedicate in on was in middle of what was then depict as a disaster area by the state of rising York. 400,000 kids flocked to a small town in upstate bare-ass York, which normally hovered around 3,900 people, for a movement like nobody thats ever been seen before. A young woman described the events that unfolded through the early part of the festival as:
roads were backed up for as long as 8 hours, there was no gas in the gas stations, kids couldnt leave even if they sine qua noned to. Its been declared a disaster area, theyre going to try to evacuate the area, al oneness youd be more stuck on the highway as you would here. At least here you have a entire lot of other cats.
August 15, 1969 launched the largest gathering of people for one event in history, on Max Yasgurs 600-acre lift in Bethel, New York. People from all over the area were piling into cars and making t heritor way to Yasgurs dairy farm. Kids were swarming to the take over phones to let their parents know they had made it there safely, and to call friends to express them of the magnitude of the events that were to come.
Thirty-Two Rock, Folk, and Blues Artist came together to put on what was called Woodstock. Some neighbors viewed it as, A shitty mess, while others stated, They cannot be questioned as good American citizens. There was an unexpected mental object that came from Woodstock; that peace and love were taking over our nations younger generation. The biggest question to be answered was how America would view it.
Woodstock began with the man of Woodstock Ventures Inc. by four young men in their mid-twenties: Michael Lang, Artie Kornfeld, John Roberts, and Joel Rosenman. John Roberts and Joel Rosenman came as a pair, John was the heir to the Block Drug fortune, and Joel was a lawyer who enjoyed music and acting.
