The driving forces behind and revitalize movement are utility and growth. These forces collided during what is known as The Age of Reform which took emerge in America from the early 1820s through the mid 1860s. The various movements that took place during these times sought to expand the ideals of Americans. whatever of the ideals that were challenged and stretched were religion, womens rights, and social improvement and mainly occurred between 1825 and 1850.
One example of religious repair occurred in the 1820s when Charles G. Finney, a Presbyterian minister, led the Second Great Awakening, historically known as the Christian religious movement. Finney preached that harlots, drunkards, and infidels could be ? salvage? through hard work and a steadfast corporate trust in God.
